What a mess we are in – takes approximately 8 minutes to read.
“The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those that speak it.”
Radical Self Care
Radical Self Care is for anyone who wants to play their part in healing the mess we are in on planet Earth. It is based on the premise that if we live simpler, calmer more deeply connected lives where we take better care of ourselves, we will automatically start to take better care of our planet.
My last blog Understanding Vitamin D offered a very simple non radical, self care practice which could be helpful right now. This one’s a little more challenging. It requires opening to what a mess we are in.
I so want to see us turn things around on our planet, but right now I am seriously questioning whether or not we can do that. If we have any hope of surviving as a species on earth we must change our way of life. Watching the response to Covid makes me wonder if this IS actually possible.
I know, a shocker eh, given my Website name? Don’t worry I haven’t given up entirely. Lets just say I am allowing myself to face a truth. I am shocked by way the collective in general has chosen to respond to Covid. I knew fear was powerful but this, this is beyond anything I could have imagined for our country and it’s people.
Although I have spoken out and challenged some of the narrative already, I have also held back due to my own fears of being ostracised, criticised, attacked or ridiculed. Now I don’t care, or maybe I mean I don’t mind.
I feel secure in my deep connections with people and places that support and comfort me. From this foundation I feel strong enough to speak out. If we do not allow the minority voice to be heard we are not a world I want to live in. I cannot and will not stand back and agree with what is going on anymore.
If what I have to say illicits protest in you, if you find yourself condemning and criticising, consider this. It may be born out of cognitive dissonance. New information which challenges beliefs, attitudes or behaviour creates discomfort which a person will try to appease. The desire is to reduce the anxiety created by the challenge.
I wonder what would happen if we could all learn instead to sit with the uneasiness caused by difference? Or, indeed discuss, in a reasonable fashion, those matters upon which we disagree.
Videos taken off Youtube, Facebook posts marked as false, Twitter accounts taken down. In my blog Are you feeling gagged I talked about the censorship going on earlier this year. It’s seems to have become much worse.
All this is happening to professional people with expert opinions, in our so called free and democratic country. It’s not any more of course. Every day we face a growing level of totalitarianism dictating the minutiae of our lives.
Mainstream media like the BBC have become so lost in their own narrative they continue to promote a one world view of Covid, virtually without question. Their excitement at the unfolding drama of cases is palpable, and may I add, nauseating.
Along with the Government they blare out the news of increasing cases as if a deadly wildfire is coming our way. It wouldn’t be quite so bad if it was predicated on anything truthful and real. It is not.
The PCR test
The PCR test appears to be highly flawed and therefore makes a mockery of this whole sorry affair. It cannot tell you if you are sick, infectious or indeed when you had the virus, if you even did.
Indeed, Public Health England tells us, in bold in their publication, Understanding Cycle Threshold Ct in SARS-COV-2 RT-PCR:
“RT-PCR detects presence of viral genetic material in a sample but is not able to distinguish whether infectious virus is present.”
Just to reiterate – IS NOT ABLE TO DISTINGUISH WHETHER INFECTIOUS VIRUS IS PRESENT.
It also states that:
“Each assay (investigative procedure) will have a slightly different limit of detection (LoD) – the lowest concentration of virus that can be reliably and consistently detected by the assay, and will be configured according to local arrangements.”
What does this mean? Different localities have different tests, why exactly? I am confused, how about you?
There’s more in that document that’s of concern to me, but honestly I can’t be bothered picking all apart, read it if you are interested. Read anything you can about the PCR testing and then see if you,
1. want to take it, and
2. have any idea what it is actually telling you.
Not fit for purpose
In his recent article False Positive Tests Dr. Kendrick includes calculations which show just how absurd the test results are. He includes information from a senior laboratory scientist currently working within the system who concludes.
“Politicians and Health Officials are basing their numbers of cases entirely on the results of these tests, which are not fit for this purpose.”
For those who like to do their own research here are a couple more links to information about the PCR test.
And finally you may wish to watch this interesting video by Rachael Elnaugh who has taken the time to explore the published statistics in more depth.
This is a scandal
Why is there not an outcry? This is a scandal of huge proportions. Our lives are being turned upside down, many have died, and are dying because of the decisions taken by our Government and still everyone carries on as if the what they say is gospel, to coin a phrase.
I’m not saying there isn’t a virus, I’m not saying people haven’t died, they have. What I am saying is that the current fear driven agenda is predicated on something, the PCR test, that was never designed to be used in this way.
It is being misused and misinterpreted and our Government is, I really hope not knowingly, basing it’s draconian dictates on this flawed information.
Their hysteria over cases (from the flawed testing) has them running around like someone trying to plug the holes in a cracking damn. They cannot or will not see any other route forward except the one where they control or stop what they believe is happening.
In my blog 3 Ways we Maintain our Limiting Beliefs I explain the destructive patterns our Government is currently demonstrating.
Because limiting beliefs are often formed in terrifying or traumatic circumstances we will cling onto them come hell or high water. They can feel like our life depends upon them.
They become the ground upon which we construct our life, a world view designed to maintain safety. We do not let them go easily. We really really do not want to face such things again so we develop strategies to prevent that “bad” thing happening again in the future.
Clinging to the old belief
Deleting, distorting and generalising as they go, the Government clings to the old belief that we are still facing a deadly pandemic. Through fear they continue to convince many they face terrible illness or impending death if they do not follow the rules.
Whilst some people are vulnerable most of us are not.
“It’s Easier to Fool People Than It Is to Convince Them That They Have Been Fooled.”
Indoctrinating our children
Shockingly the indoctrination extends to children, teenagers, and young adults who have been frightened into believing they could kill their elderly relatives. Some believe they are actually at risk themselves and need to stay safe.
Who would ever do such a thing to young children? This is, I believe cruel and criminal and could only be justified by people who have no insight or self awareness.
It’s laughable really coming from a country who is supposedly leading the way with ACE awareness (Adverse Childhood Events). This whole sorry affair is a massive adverse event for our children, and nothing is being done to protect them from the impacts of the adult fear and panic. The state is now part of the an ever increasing emotional assault on our children.
Sometimes I feel as if I am living in a parallel universe. It’s as if two paths opened up. One predicated on fear has people rushing headlong into a world of even more harsh and cruel rules and regulations. The other questions, considers and wonders. It believes in love, freedom and sanctity of human lives. It supports our right to choose what we feel is right for ourselves and those we love, whilst retaining connection to the needs of community too.
As I go about my life I am shocked to see the high levels of compliance and fear still evident. It was therefore with great relief that I recently read Covid-19 and the Political Utility of Fear by Craig Murry. What sense this man speaks.
I suspect that it is very easy for politicians to convince themselves that by increasing fear and enforcing fierce restriction, they really are protecting people. It is very easy indeed to genuinely convince yourself of the righteousness of a course which both ostensibly protects the public and gives you a massive personal popularity boost.
I concur not only with that statement but with most of what he has to say in that article. Healing the mess we are in requires brave souls like this to keep speaking out.
His comments about the new system about to descend upon us, makes for interesting reading. I whole heartedly agree that calling a 5 tier system 0-4, rather than 1-5, is odd.
“The signal being sent is that level zero is the “new normal” and normal is not no restrictions. It is both sinister and unnecessary.”
Go fathom, if you can. What was the old normal? Minus one?
So the madness continues. Unable to admit their mistakes, to reassess and reorientate, the Government blindly stumbles on. What a mess we are in, with no real plan or exit strategy. We have no criteria for when this will all end. When will the masks come off and the hugs return?
A tissue of lies and misinformation, fashioned into something most of us could never have imagined a year ago, now dominates our lives.
Healing the mess we are in
Healing the mess we are in depends on each and every one of us. We have to choose what kind of a world we want to live in and take steps towards that end. I know what path I am choosing, what about you?
“Trust your intuition and be guided by love.”
