Where art and activism meet
From June 2026 I am going to walk the shoreline of Loch Creran to raise awareness about this special marine protected area and the significant environmental decline in some of its most important features.
Through a series of monthly walks this project will involve natural pigment and botanical ink making as well as impermanent art, the stuff that does no harm. Through this I aim to highlight the tensions that exist between environmental protection and commercial interest.
Follow these walks
It may be of interest for you to know that I have walked the shoreline of this loch previously, for different reasons. Once 10 years ago and then partially in 2020 until curtailed by world events.
“I only went out for a walk and finally concluded to stay out till sundown, for going out, I found, was really going in.”
