Awakening in Benderloch – Events Listing

December 2017

Film Screening of Polyfaces

7th December 2017

7pm sharp

Victory Hall, Benderloch.

To book or find out more contact Mairi here.

We will also be joined by local farmers who practice regenerative farming here in Argyll. They will share their story of Awakening and be available to answer questions.

‘Polyface Farm’ is led by the “world’s most innovative farmers” (TIME Magazine) and uses no chemicals, while feeding over 6,000 families and many restaurants, and food outlets, within a 3-hour ‘foodshed’ of their farm. ‘Polyfaces’ is a joyful film about connecting to the land and community….. they produce food in a way that works with nature, not against it.

This model is being replicated throughout our global villages, proving that we can provide quality produce, without depleting our planet. Agriculture is the most damaging industry, but it doesn’t have to be and this regenerative model of food productions could be just the thing that saves us!

October 2017

Film Screening of the highly acclaimed film Tomorrow (Demain)

Thursday 5th October 2017

10.30am and 7.00pm

Victory Hall, Benderloch

As part of the Bookends Festival Awakening in Benderloch is launching it’s winter programme with this amazing, inspiring and hope-filled film.

To book or find out more contact Mairi here.

The Transition Network managed to negotiate the rights to screen this film in the UK, and Awakening is now able to host a community screening here in Benderloch. So far the film has only been shown in Glasgow and Stirling so this is a wonderful opportunity for us.

Tomorow has been viewed by over 1.5 million people in France alone, and was winner of Best Documentary at the Cesar Awards (the French Oscars), ‘Tomorrow’ has been hugely impactful and we are so lucky to be hosting this film.

Please share this with your friends and family far and wide, anyone who you think might be interested. It is a chance for us to come together to not only enjoy this amazing award winning film, but also to meet and connect with others who care about our planet home.
